Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Kurtulmuş received his undergraduate degree from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Dentistry. He completed his Ph.D. in Prosthodontics at Ege University, Faculty of Dentistry, with a thesis titled “Prosthodontic Approaches in the Treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea.” In 2014, he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in the field of Prosthodontics and began working as a specialist prosthodontist in his private clinic located in Alsancak, İzmir. As of July 2018, he was appointed as an Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Istanbul Aydın University, Faculty of Dentistry. On March 16, 2020, he was promoted to Professor. Since September 2023, he has been serving as a Professor of the prosthodontics department at İzmir Tınaztepe University, Faculty of Dentistry. Prof. Dr. Kurtulmuş is an active member of several national and international professional organizations, including: Turkish Prosthodontics and Implantology Association, Turkish Sleep Medicine Society, Turkish Sleep Society, European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), Turkish Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, European Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (EADSM), European Prosthodontic Association (EPA), Cleft Lip/Palat Association (turkish group), Osseointegration Association. Since 2021, he has also been an instructor for the Continuing Dental Education Programs at Istanbul Dental Academy (IDA), where he provides courses on "Prosthodontics and Dental Approaches for Sleep Disorders and Upper Airway Problems." As of October 2024, Prof. Dr. Kurtulmuş has become one of the founding members of the Sports Dentistry Association, which is a pioneering initiative in Turkey. He is married and has one daughter.
